Is it necessary to fight, even die, in order to bring an end to opression? (Short Answer)
In my opinion, it is necessary to fight, even to death, in order to bring an end to opression. In the past, cruel opressors are not peaceful by nature. It is why they are in control. They prefer not to negotiate. When you do not negotiate, the opressed peoples decide to fight back. Without words, there is only violence. With violence, history has shown many deaths. The Holocaust for example was caused by the opressor Adolph Hitler. Millions of Jews and gypsies died because of opression. In the end, the opression was halted. Sometimes, no matter how much you fight, the tyranny does not end. In that case, there is still death. When the dictator is finally dead by natural causes, only then does a nation become free.
So, in the end, really, will there ever be a case where opression is brought to an end with just words?
I doubt it.
